I'm trying to veer away from online networking sites as much as I can as I feel that it's too distracting from my work. I'm also trying to stay away from online messenging as well so if you guys don't see me online as often, don't be surprised. I hope this holds though.

ONLINE DATING
So after a year or 2 of not really actively trying to pursue anyone, I might be ready to start. Maybe. i'm always wishy washy on it.

I've always believed you needed to invest a fair amount of time to be in a r/s. But a friend mentions that you just need to find someone who's in the same situation as you and understands the demands of work. I'm hoping this new person is going to pan out assuming we do manage to find the time to actually MEET. Hell, right now, just getting a number is problem enough.

Ok, so over here, there's an online classifieds where people can post stuff up, from personals to things for sale and employment. Once in a while, when i get bored, I go to the 'dating' section just to see what's up there. For most parts, it's usually spam or porn.

So this time, i'm wanna say i might have lucked out and gotten a gem. But that's assuming we get around to actually meeting. The good thing is she's hella busy. Working 70-80 hours a week. While I do that too, because I work from home, it doesn't feel that long. I imagine it to be a lot more taxing when you're working in an office.

So anyway, 2 weeks back, we were emailing each other back and forth a fair bit over one weekend, and then it stopped when the week came. I was really confused cos well, we had a good thing going on or so I thought. I could kinda sorta tell she might be into me and I sure as hell was. But then the emails stopped.

Me and a friend concluded or conveniently assumed that maybe regular people aren't that on top of their emails as we are seeing how crucial our response time for our emails are. Heck, one day last week, cos i slept in late, I missed out on an email and called back too late and a job went to anothe rperson. If i had called immediately after the email was sent out, I could've been on that gig. So yeaps, it's THAT crucial. But I guess for regular people with a steady job, they don't quite need to have that urgency.

anyway, we're still trying to arrange a meet and she thinks she's given me her number and I'm claiming she hasn't. So let's hope it might be an error on her part and she'll send it to me and not be pissy about it in the process.

Soo... about her and why i think she's awesome. She's NOT your typical 'my type' girl. So yeah, peeps, no more 14 - 40s... well, fine, she's still within the range but she didn't jsut turn legal.

Firstly, she's my height!!! So yeaps, no more 160cm girls! I imagine it to be nice to talk to a tall girl and not have to slouch. Not that it's that big an issue but i'm quite fascinated by the idea. She's pretty much my frame too. She's 3 kg more than me and I'm thinking that's where the boobs come in, maybe. Though I gotta wonder, how do 3 kgs of boobs look anyway?

She's white, is a red head. Is 32. Is a writer. Loves margaritas (which i'm still wondering when we're ever getting that). She lives 15 mins drive away from me which is awesome! She seems independent seeing she's been on her own for quite a fair amount of her life. And her history and how she grew up kinda has her more of a tough girl. if anyting, I'd say she's got a lot of street experience. I think she's pretty good looking. Seems to not mind dancing which is going to be fun. I also like the fact that she's a writer. I always assume that writers like to read and it kinda compensates for me lacking the passion for it.

So far, it's been a nice email conversation but a cynical part of me is getting ready for everything to tank. I'm hoping it won't though cos so far, when we do get the emails flowing, it's been a nice exchange and it's been a very long time since I've tried to meet someone new and that's always exciting. I think part of the draw is also the fact that's she's crazy busy too and I kinda appreciate that a lot.

And with her, if things ever DO happen, it feels like i'm actually dating an adult. I guess it's time for me to move on from the kid phase.


AND... to throw everything into disarray. German girl's coming back to LA for 3 weeks and she's crashing at my place. Whether anything might happen, I have no idea quite yet. But a combination of her pissing me off for doing something stupid, and also the week long non-response from WRITER GIRL was getting me pissy with myself for letting myself pine for someone who might turn out to be nothing. i'm hoping this weekend comes faster cos that's when she seems the most communicative on email. OR.. if she gives me her number, it might be a different story. Anwyay, we'll see. Will keep you guys updated, hopefully here or somewhere.
