A SEASON OF LOVE MOVIE REVIEW

I recently caught A Season of Love. Honestly speakin, i didn't think much about the show. I just thought it to be another kooky Korean love-comedy. And well, i wasn't wrong really.

Here's a description of it:

"A SEASON FOR LOVE chronicles the lives of four very different couples as they deal with love, loss and life in romantic, loosely interconnected stories -- A 30-year-old fire-fighter looking for just the right ring for his fiancée; A long-term relationship between a guy who cannot find a job and a wonderful and long suffering woman who is beginning to tire of their relationship; An 8-year-old boy who desperately misses his career-minded mother; A deaf girl with a terrible burn on her face falls in love with a painter, dreaming of a perfect love. All of these situations are filled with heartache and sometimes despair, but like love, it comes in many forms. In many ways, love must end before love can begin again. "

I must admit that some of these elements you don't really see in the show but would only know it only if you read it in the synopsis but the lack of it don't really matter. Some moments don't really feel right and might be off the mark and even confuses but again, not detrimental.

I WILL admit it IS a sappy show.. Maybe a chick flick even. However, there aren't that many a scenes which are oozing from saturated dosage of sweetness but just many innocent moments. And they really are identifiable. But hey, apart from sweet moments (there are some of course, just not overly) there are, as usaual, numerous moments of humour ala My Sassy Girl-esque.

I don't really think it needs to be a date-date sorta movie but a nice movie to watch alone even. It explores the different aspects of love, not just one. And I really love how it ended and seriously hope everyone who has the chance to, to go watch it. It really isn't what you expect it to be. You'll know when you watch it. ;) The tag line, "Cherish Every Moment, Live Each Day" really sums up the whole movie.

Again if not for the love story, watch it for the comedy. :>
