Dedicated to a very dear jaded friend whom I find it heartbreakin to see in such a state.
BLINDED
There are times we lose hope in what we do.
Sometimes wondering, "where is all this going to?"
We look around, we see the world's all black.
Shrouded in vices and all we fight try to figh back.
But this isn't always so, lift up that veil,
the layer of uncertainty, blocking our trail.
Look to what inspired us to do what we intended.
Remember what it was that made us contented.
True the world may deal us many blows.
Sometimes dimishing that beautiful glow.
But don't forget what truly made us happy.
Don't forget what it was that made us gay and giddy.
Hold on to that memory, that feeling, that moment.
If we stay on the path, it doesn't matter what happens.
Take consolation in what we bring to others,
our misery would be the last to be of bother.
------------------------
There are nice guys out there in the world. Nice people rather. And some of these people are selfless to the core. I had asked my grandma to take care of herself then say she dun take care of herself one, take care of others.
I've always admired the selflessness of others. Tho I don't always agree with it but I've admired their tenacity to stay true to their cause and their nature and not get jaded. These people are the people I look up to when I need to look for hope. These are the people I smile to myself, thinkin to myself that there is hope in this world afterall. These are the people who exudes more humanity than others, than people who are cynical about the world like me. These are the people who give people like me the happiness and hope that the world might be a better place, just cos of these people in our lives.
So to my dearest friend, don't give up and let go. There are enough people doing that but not enough people with enough in themselves to hold on. So please, don't give up. With each day, a lil bit of someone is inspired and influenced by you.
Thank you for being in our lives. We all love u being u.
