Sunday again... A day to dread and love sometimes....

CAT HIGH VISITING

Went visiting to Cat High on Wed which was kinda kool. Lotsa changes in the school since we last went back which was only a couple of months. Joseph has labled the students there now "Pansies". They were cooking and looked like they enjoyed it and they look so darn soft... Back in our time when there were bins all over the corridor, there were still rubbish around it... Yet there were no dustbins around and amazingly no rubbish either... Gone were the days of packet drinks and Western burger plastic bags along the corridor. Ohz, and our beloved AVA is no more and is now instead called iMedia. But according to Mrs Bala, supposed to be much better than b4... She was kinda aggresive in trying to get me and Alvin to commit to the school, joint project and all. I mean, come on... Mayb I'm just being practical and all... I feel that if we want to expand, experience with Cat high is somehow not the way. Mayb seems a lil insensitive and blunt but just think tt it's no way to expand a career. Unless with no choice. Btw, track's gone. Partially. And the toilet now is fantastic. the 4th Level toilets where there were 4 unrinals now have a bloody freaking 12 urinals or more... And no false ceilings. Heh... And also, there'a a level 5 now. More stair climbing man...

CHINESE NEW YEAR EVE FIREWORKS AND CRACKERS

Anyway, tt's CNY visiting over at Cat High. Packed my room in the afternoon and went Chinatown to see fireworks and firecrackers. And for those who know what thunderflashes are... they sound just like that... Freakin deafening. Volume's the same.. Sound's the same... Only diff is you don't need to strike it.. And it's on a string... And if one used to need to shout "contacted!" upon explosion... Think if you were there, you'll go breathless just shoutin.. Anyway, didn't go bazaar thank goodness... getting to the firecrackers was enough.

Went cine wanting to catch a show but didn't in the end. So while we were having BK, this ass kept staring at Amy and was so bold and blatant/blatent about it.... He had the nerve to look at me and then back at Amy. Good or bad thing is, he was not only doing that to Amy. Sounded like he was from China. ANyhoo, couldn't do jack hoo abt it since he had 2 other frens and well, I just had Amy. Times like these, it would be so much better to travel in a bigger group and even more helpful with guys. not that we were gonna resort to violence but hey, verbal telling off would at least be an option. With Amy, all i can do is to act as if there's nothing happening, not let him bother us and move on. Wanted to drive past and least scream obscenities at him, least tt would make me feel so much better. Felt so cheated tt he got away with something. It's not so much of him staring but tt it seemed tt he was mocking like I couldn't do a jack shit abt it. Anyway, ddin't and just drove on even though I could've taken the effort to u-turn but alas, the lazy nature of me. Not to mention if the bloke would noe wad I was screaming abt.

Surprised Amy with those firework thingies on a stick but god damn lighter had a problem. Flame so darn small. So ended up lighting parking coupons and using it to burn the thingies...

CHINESE NEW YEAR DAY 1

Thursday just went visiting to my grannies place. Realised my grandaunties' (grannies sisters) family is like a regional family. Grandaunty or uncle or both were from Malaysia. Then my uncle from tt side married someone from China. And another uncle married someone from Hong Kong. So quite cool. Both quite pretty pretty. The one from Hong Kong kinda made me haf the impression tt all of them there carry Gucci and stuff seeing tt she was looking so European like with this brown dress and cloth like belt like thing of the same colour and a Gucci bag. Of course, I'm prob wrong seeing I have never been to HK or Europe and the only other thing i noe of HK is Gu Huo Zai and tt it's a good place to shop. ANyway, came home to sort out my mp3s for 4-5 after taking a nap.

CHINESE NEW YEAR DAY 2

Friday went visiting without my dad since he was sick. One of my best NYs yet seeing that it has been a stess free one without the pressure of needing to pack my house so much since this year, 1st time in my life, no open house. We found it amusing when we tell people tt 3 were coming only, they would expect my dad not to be the one not coming but rather my bro or me. Anyway, met Amy in the night and this time round we dressed proper compared wed. COs wed was wearing berms and t-shirt and kinda not the right attire to snub the fucker from China. SO least, there's a decent pair of jeans and t-shirt. But alas, didn't see someone like him. I know Amy had a helluva tough time on Friday cos she bumped into this guy who's fren is interested in her but doesn't noe tt she's attached. To those who rememeber abt the devil's incident on NYE. Well, tt blockhead who didn't realise i was the bf. Anyway, he's the guy who doesn't noe. Anyway, the fren was like going on abt how the interested guy wouldn't be able to take it and all... And had the nerve to refer to me as the "long hair guy who wears a hairband". Fast becoming one of my least fav buggers. Anyway, of cos, this was going while I was playing aracde while she stepped away a while to talk to him. Funny, knew wad was going on already even b4 she needed to tell me. Not the full extent but roughly.. Seeing need to step away. Anyway, she seemed pretty bothered cos she felt bad abt the whole incident of which I still think she's partially to be blamed for not telling the clueless fella abt her being attached. Love of attention i'm not sure. She says she just doesn't wanna lose a fren. *Prob sound familiar to someone eh? Anyway, tt's her story. Feel sorry for the guy. Next day was asking her if she wanted to catch a movie. Anyway...

Caught Irreversible (tried to type it backwards :p ) on Friday night. Was kinda sceptical abt it intitially cos Alvin told me he did not understand partially or somewthing like tt.. And was still apprehensive when the cam worked sorted reminded me of Blair Witch though I can't say i've watch it b4. But at the end of the show, found that the show was great. Also, saw the trailer for Last Life in the Universe trailer. Anyway, can't say that Irreversible is for everyone unless you appreciate subtle meanings and like subtexts. Found that who ever thought out the whole concept was fantastic. It's a film different from most films, choosing to take the meaning of the title to the max. Even the whole storytelling idea was great. The way it was told.

SPOILER ALERT**: IF YOU CHOOSE TO WATCH THE SHOW... DUN READ THIS COLUMN:

Thankfully had Alvin to tell me tt the story was being told backwards. Made one aspect of understanding it much easier. I found that the line "Time destroys all things" or something like tt so great in describing the show as well as how we see films. We know of non-linear storytelling and editing. But this causes you to think abt how a diffferent a story can be if told backwards. The amazing thing abt the film is that despite being told backwards, the main action which sparked everything off was still seen at the end like all movies usually do. The climax (the rape) was still towards the end. This despite the story ebing told backwards. The amazing thing is, it might not be told backwards from how I see it and may be told in its right way. Alex did say she had a dream. Though the events did appear backwards, is it not true that because that it is told backwards, we automatically associate it as reality. Hence, "time destroys all things". Tt's why I found the film so bloody amazing. The acting was also fantastic. Think Alvin will also agree that monica belluci is really a great actress. (true controversial in her selection of films) And whoever the director was, he was one helluva great one. I have no idea how he managed to accomplish some of the scene without a cut. Because there wasn't a cut, it seemed tt it was happening for real. A word of caution. For those who can't stand extreme violence and gore, be warned. There is a scene tt's basically, the most grusome scene i've ever seen on screen. (mayb i dun see enough of such sutff). Great film nonetheless.

Tt's it for friday. Tried to get some makan after tt. Even drove down to that cheese prata place. GUys, u noe the one where we 3 of us drove down? Elgin, me and willie? the 7-11 one? NEar blue cow? Anyway, the place further away from 7-11 sucked cos they didn't bother with taking our order so we just left. Ended up getting sandwiches at 7-11. Sat in the car in the rain to eat. Kinda kool. And the windows misted up and all and we were writing stuff on the windscreen. Then had a heart attack when I couldn't start the car. Wonder if it was cos my high beam was on... Now I think abt it... mayb so. heng ah... Think migh've killed th baat. rememebered Janice's fren Queenie couldn't start her car cos she left her headlights on the whole while when she was away.

Sat just spent with Amy (She looked so sweet in her new year clothes. Like a teacher like tt. :) )bumming around and playing neopets.... Which I think I should be laying off for now... Getting too hooked on it liao. And I found out tt pizzas take an hour of half to be delivered in the storm last night. Almost rained the whole day tt I was so glad to be in my cosy home. It's chilly now as well. Anyway, think i'll be going offline after this. Do work. :p
