Sick today. Kinda sucky. Doc says is just a cold. Think it's caused by me chuggin down my McChicken last nite on my way to watch "Home Run" wif Amy. Show's kinda ok. A bit depressing at times. But generally quite ok lah. No complains. But dun get me wrong, stil not exactly a supporter of Jack Neo.
My main concern today's kinda on this article I read. It's regarding JC students and whoever uses the blog to express their heart felt feelings. It's the reason they were writting which kinda affected me. I didn't noe abt the deaths of 2 JC students from top JCs. I ain't too sure the exact cause of their deaths but from what i gathered, it seemed like they committed suicide. Mayb due to stress or other problems, i ain't too sure. Fren, shamir mentioned a fren of his jumped due to debt problems, and this sec 4 guy frm his skool jumped recently due to social problems. Just feel for them when i read that when they feel that they have no one else to go, no one to turn to, they take the only route they see possible out of their pain, their problems and their lives. As one of the students wrote: "Nobody would do such a thing when sane; it's that split second where your mind goes insane -and when nobody pulls you back -that it becomes too late." How many of us have felt the same feelin as the student mentioned to her mom about "not wanting to live anymore sometimes, especially after entering JC." Or "the meaning of life has sneaked away, the goal in life has slipped off, your whole life is filled but empty at the same time -and you don't want to wake up anymore. " it's funny how some people fight so hard for their lives yet in contrast, so many of us at some point in of our lives just wanna give it up so easily. Aren't we a funny bunch. Teens are taken for granted. Their problems are seldom noticed by adults and mostly dismissed as trivial. It's truly a sad sad day when one so young dies so unjustly in our eyes and unneccesarily. But ask me how to advoid it. I guess all i can say is to let them noe and constantly remind them there is no fear in telling your problems, and that there is always someone there for you. Be it friends, God, parents or whoever you call your piller of support.
